Our Advent series, “Songs of Liberation,” takes us to the gospel according to Luke. The season of Advent speaks to us through songs of prophets and words of hope. Our theme is inspired by Rev. Dr. B. Yuki Schwartz’s resource, Reimagine Advent: Discover the Liberating Christ, produced by The General Commission on Religion and Race of The United Methodist Church.
We are thankful for the talents of Lori Bryant, who created the images for the series, and Mary Alice Do, who wrote the words to the Advent hymn we will sing each week.November 28: “Our Hope Rooted in the Land” Luke 21:25-36
